Spring Pictures

A month and a half after Spring officially began it will be a nice, seasonable weekend, finally.  In the meantime, plants have grown as we cowered inside, away from the cool and wet.  Leaves are starting to open on the trees.  And jackets are being left on the hook more often.

The big comforter has been washed and stored and a thinner blanket on the bed in its place.  Windows have not been opened just yet (except once) but that time will be very soon now.  And the grass is getting a bit long around the edges.

Speaking of grass; we'll see if I can do this No Mow May thing until the end of the month, though it may get strimmed in areas at the very least.  The current fad sweeping the nation, it is to help the pollinators.

A few other pictures from today after the break.

Looking good and I am all in favour of the no mow pollination month of May although mine is helped by a broken lawnmower!

Great picture of the plane and as a modern aircraft I have no idea what it is but I will guess at a F-22 from the empennage although could be a F-35.

Our Truax Field base (of the 115th Fighter Wing) will be transitioning from 21 F-16s to 18 F-35s. Not sure how far along that process is, but this would appear to be one of the F-35s.

There is a group called Lemon Jelly who had a song called 'All the ducks are swimming in the water". I don't particularly like them, but your last picture reminds me of this and it is a real ear worm.

No Mow May is definitely a trendy thing here too.
