It is only a few days from the beginning of March and we are much below the 'average' temperatures for this time of year. Tonight's low is -11ºF with wind chills of up to -30ºF tomorrow morning. I guess I'll have to warm up the car tomorrow - wait - I've been warming up the car every morning for months on end now, this is supposed to stop happening, right?
In fact, 11º is the highest we'll see until Sunday, they say. And why not throw in some snow? Not a big storm, just a little here and a little there for days on end. After all, a fresh layer of snow covers all that dirty melting stuff and makes everything beautiful. Right?
Okay, I'm starting to lose my patience with winter. That's all I got.

It's quite odd really. Here, it is cool but springlike with daffodils and snoowdrops emerging, wildfowl getting excited, birdsong and even frogs making themselves known. Yesterday, I saw a bee in the garden!
We're jealous, we've almost given up hope here. When the high today was 4ºF with wind chills up to -30ºF even with a beautiful sunny day, well, even my spirit can break.
It's 24°C here today, but we have had several days over 40. Erm, sorry ;)
Sadly it returns to normal the day after tomorrow and our house sitter informs us that the boiler has broken down, so it'll be carrying of wood and stoking of wood burners for us for a few days until Mr BW gets time to fix it!
No sorries, Blue Witch, enjoy it while you can. Sorry to hear about the boiler. Perhaps it is the dawn of a brand new Ice Age!
