Firepit Timelapse

I've been playing with some camera features on my new phone.  I did a time lapse of my fire last night, but this first one I did two weeks ago was better.  Enjoy the fire with me.

Fantastic! Even more surreal than the last one!!!

I've been having a fire almost every weekend opportunity, especially because the mosquitoes haven't swarmed yet. Almost, but not yet. I have even less wood now, maybe enough for two more fires, but getting another face cord delivered on Friday!

That looks wonderful. When the mosquitos do come out does the smoke keep them away?

Maybe if you stand right where the smoke is, but no, not really. Those are the nights you have to use bug spray and resign yourself to a post-firepit shower.

If we have people over I'll use some sort of yard guard spray, which does help, but you'd likely still need to spray yourself with bug spray.

Of course, I know some people that aren't bothered by them at all, while I may as well have a neon sign in mosquitoese, "Fresh Buffet -
All You Can Eat!"

We've got 'the midgies' to look forward to. Although, we were told, they aren't really a problem up here on the ridge as it is too windy. We'll see...

It does sound like our climates are quite similar now Scoakat!

It does, BW, but hold that thought until winter!
