Also this afternoon, thankfully after it was more clear, I went and picked up our fourth quarter cow. It was a bigger cow than last year, we got about 132 pounds of meat at less than 5 bucks a pound, and that's for everything - steaks, roasts, ground and more. Not too bad, and the meat is so much better than the local grocery store. This will probably set us until early 2021!
That's all I can write for now, it's Halloween and the trick-or-treaters are starting to come around. Boo!

Proper snow, not like the flurries we generally get here apart form the once in a decade proper snow.
Currently we have the default wet and windy weather.
That's a good idea buying a quarter of a cow. Do your friend buy the other quarters?
My friend and I, his father, and someone else they know - the four of us went in on the cow. Basically they processed it in halves, then my friend and I split our half. We had talked prior about the cuts we wanted. This time we got no chuck, steaks or roasts, so lots more hamburger. About 40% cuts and 60% burger overall this time. Good stuff.
