It's been a very cold weekend, barely getting above freezing today and now tomorrow. Late last night we got our first snow of the season. I stepped outside about midnight and got this picture.
Most of the snow melted or evaporated today, but not all and we even had some more flurries this afternoon. But we are in for the night and in our warmest comfy clothes with the thermostat bumped up a tad. I'm still cold. It's going to be a long winter.

I have decided that you are a better forecast for our area than any other source - albeit usually a week delayed - we have the same forecast for this time next week. Yikes!

Another blanket of snow when I got up this morning. We average about 50 inches in Madison. I know you are technically further north, but how many inches do you average at Coven Nord?
From the weather updates I receive it is forecast heavy snow for North America in a couple of weeks time. It wasn’t so sure about the UK and Europe but as BW said, we are now getting forecasts for snow (usually sleet in our area). Stay warm, I don’t envy you.
Are we technically further north? I hadn't realised that! Today is our last warm day. Minuses from now on for a while.
I don't know how many inches - some years none, others maybe a foot or so nowhere near as much as you.

Not what I want to hear, delcatto! But nevermind, the inevitable will happen.
Friday and Saturday should get up to around º16C, then single digits for highs next week. Lots of final outside chores to get done this weekend... and maybe a fire.
