It's been a very stressful week here as we had to take Basil to the emergency vet because he couldn't pee. They got him sorted and he came home two days later with a cone, bandaged arm and medicine to take. I'm not going to go into detail, just know that he is feeling much better now and is cone-free and settled back in. 
Enough stress has subsided that I can see the humor in some of our conversations!

Poor Basil! And poor you (or rather, your poor wallet!) Hope you are all recovered now.
Thanks, BW, it was expensive but needed. If it happens again the surgery will be twice as much. We are still finishing out his medicine and monitoring his input and output, but it looks good and he is acting like himself again, thankfully.
It's horrible when the little blighters are ill. Hopefully he's on the road to recovery.
Thank you, but I had to take him back to the emergency vet early Sunday morning. The poor little guy will be having surgery tomorrow. It will be a rough couple weeks, but he should be much better soon.
Ah bless him. Fingers crossed he'll soon be up and about.
