Fish have now been added to the right... until I tire of them, anyway. I've just been exploring blogger a little, there is much more to learn but finding the time is the problem. So as I learn, changes will come. As for Fish, I know it's just a lame little blogger gadget, but it is kind of cute. So, click to feed my fish, already!

A Busy Weekend

Happy weekend, all! It's been a busy day so far here. We got up early to take in Mrs. Scoakat's car. Proceeded to the grocery store. Went home, changed and did food prep, and we were on the boat by just after 10:00 am!





We picked up the car from the shop on the way home, about 3 o'clock. (Bigger repairs, unfortunately. Exhaust, tune-up, and a few other things.) I love being on the water. It is relaxing, but I'm still tired when I get home, so next on the agenda is a nap. After all, I must be good to go again by 7:00!

GO PACKERS!

Yes, tonight is finally Packers football. It's always such a long wait until next season, I don't even care that it's just a pre-season game. Watching baseball is mostly just biding time til football season starts.

I wanted to do a project in the basement today to help address the catbox situation, but that will have to wait. I might get it done tomorrow, but there are already plans made for tomorrow as well. I plan on putting the catbox just off the stairs, on a shelf. Sounds easy, doesn't it? It is a bit of a project to do, though.

Sorry, just a catbox update

Well, last night I moved the catbox down 1 step again. As I have every couple of weeks in my effort to get it downstairs. This time made it 4 steps, and she didn't like it. I came home to a wonderful surprise in my office. (I was tempted to take a pic for the blog, but I wouldnt do that to you.) I was ticked. I'm not gonna go after her but now she will no longer has access to this room (or the porch that she loves) when I'm not in it. I also moved the catbox back up to step 3 where it was before.
Grrr- she better use it, demmit.

I've sprained my brain right now trying to remember enough to get to 50. There are still several I'm forgetting. I can think of about half a dozen that were pretty good 20 years ago, but nothing since, and now I can't remember the names. And there are some on the list I'm not fans of but they were the opening act. So for tonight my memory fails me but I will update at least 2 more later, when they come to me.

Edit: Well, I managed to finish off the 50, I'm positive I'm forgetting many others, but that's enough. It was fun, then and now.

Housewarming

We had a few people over on Saturday for just a little housewarming/meet the neighbors kind of thing. Some neighbors did show others didn't, but I did kind of rely on word of mouth through the neighbors I do know and talking to others when I would see them out. Most all I've met seem very very nice. I say most because of one who has already made an enemy of us.

Same thing for friends, some showed and a few didn't. That's okay, we didn't require an RSVP so had no idea what to expect. At 4:00, one person had shown up, I was getting nervous. Then shortly after much more began arriving. Some left early, some showed up later, some we enjoyed the whole time! It was over by 8 or 8:30, as I recall, darkness had arrived and it was getting a bit chilly.

Overall I think it turned out well. We had plenty of food with not much left over, I think I got about a case too much beer, though. Oh well, leftovers!
