With mango it sounds OK. Carrot ice cream on its own - I have my doubts! Out of iterest, how much is such an ice cream over there? Here it would be around £3.50 for a single scoop in the NE, but likely £4+ down south.
At their Atwood store, where that picture was taken out back, her sugar cone was $6 and my waffle cone was $7, (generous) single scoops. Pints are $8, quarts $15 and half-gallon for $25. Certainly not cheap and much more than ordinary ice cream, but oh so good!
It is! One of several in the state, I think you posted a link to a podcast about many of them before. I saved the following to watch later (Preview below, documentary on Amazin' Prime linked therein.) Looks very interesting, actually. https://hauntedstate.ticketspice.com/haunted-state-theatre-of-shadows
The name board looks as if it is old-style push on letters - love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the slogan on the bottom picture - carrots and ice creams. Mind you... is carrot ice cream invented yet? I'm not sure if that would be nice.
They are, the Barrymore Theater will be 100 years old in 2029. It holds about a thousand people and I've been to several shows there.
ReplyDeleteYes their slogans have made it viral a couple times. :)
Very good, very rich ice creams.
I just looked and they do have a Carrot Mango Italian Ice!

Old theatres are wonderful. So much atmosphere.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend and I do love those theatres. Is that one of the allegedly haunted ones?
